A lifesized feather from a Buzzards wing.
 
The feather was cut from old book pages and painted with water colours to create the patterning. It was then cut out and mounted to a thread bound wire to create the 3D shape.
 
The frames are handmade for each display from solid wood and glass. This particular frame has been made from Ash wood and lightly oiled. It has a wire on the back so it is ready to hang from a hook in the wall.
 
In order to keep your piece looking its best, hang it away from direct sunlight and avoid areas where there is a lot of moisture such as in a bathroom.
